Equip Your Community to Prevent & Respond to Abuse

Establish Deeper Community Connections

This partnership provides the opportunity for faith communities to be key stakeholders in efforts that prevent and respond to violence against children. When FBOs partner with us through this program, they commit to partnering with a Social Worker and help meet the needs the best they can. When an urgent need arises, and all other resources have been exhausted, the social worker can put in a request to their designated “adopter.” Examples of needs include assistance with groceries, clothing, beds, furniture, and baby items.

Resources To Get Started

Safeguarding the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of young people and other vulnerable individuals may be one of the most important responsibilities of any ministry organization. Equip your community to be key stakeholders in efforts to prevent and respond to violence against children.

Assisting our families that sometimes do not have a voice and whom require additional support systems that “do no further harm” to children and families is simply spectacular! Thank you! This will tremendously help this family get on the right foot in maintaining their newly secured permanent housing.

Did You Know?

Churches are not immune from child abuse. In fact, the opposite may be true, as many reports indicate that sexual predators target trusting environments where children are present, we must not ignore the threat. Faith actors must work together as part of a wider system, including with secular actors, to tackle the shared challenges that exist across diverse faith settings to end violence against children.

Interfaith collaboration and intra-faith cooperation are essential to a multi-stakeholder effort to eliminate violence against children. When FBOs work together in multi-faith partnerships, and do so locally, it affirms the value that all children are the responsibility of the collective community, and that all families are welcomed and supported.
