Holidays can be tough for families already struggling to make ends meet. Help assure all kids in your community have a gift this holiday and spread some hope, kindness and cheer!
You can SHOW UP for our children this holiday season by dropping off gifts or making a monetary contribution.
When you contribute through Care in Action Minnesota, you join a network of Caring Neighbors passionate about lifting up families at a time when they need an extra hand.
Drop Off Presents
Purchase and drop off holiday gifts, using our gift purchase guide for inspiration.
We provide gifts for all ages, from infant to adult XL. Overburdened parents appreciate & are worthy of gifts too!
Donors typically spend $20-$50 per gift.
One Time Gift
This year, your online donation of $10, $20, or $50+ is the safest, most effective way for you to make sure a child in need receives wrapped gifts, specially selected for the child.
Purchasing gift cards is also great, (preferably Visa, Target, Walmart, or general retailer) so that a parent or child may select the perfect gift.
Volunteer Wrapping
Sign up to volunteer wrapping gifts and guiding families through a Private Shopping Experience we’re hosting for vulnerable families.
Spread The Word
Ask family, friends, and colleagues to join you in spreading joy into children’s lives!
Ask your employer if they would match your contribution or if they would be interested in sponsoring children’s wish lists.
For 15+ years, Care in Action Minnesota has connected local foster youth and families in need with those who can help, not just during the holidays, but all year long!

As long as we have the generous support of neighbors like you, Care in Action Minnesota will provide assistance to families in need, which includes providing Holiday gifts through our toy drive, putting food on the table, paying bills, and preventing homelessness for children and families.

Gift cards are always welcomed, especially for teenagers!
We are not able to provide donors the opportunity to deliver gifts directly to our children in order to protect the safety and confidentiality of the children in our care. Some of our children have experienced trauma, abuse and neglect. The holidays can be a very difficult time of year, and our trained volunteers are prepared to provide the best possible care. If you would like to become a volunteer, please fill out the sign up form above. Holiday activities take place in all of our caring homes and your gifts will send a message of care and support to the children in our care.
Yes! Care in Action Minnesota is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, our federal EIN is 20-8731939. All donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by US law. To assure we can provide you with an in-kind donation receipt, please bring receipts of gift purchases with you when you drop items off.
